Wack 2 Mack Contest

Well, like I said in the previous post, our studio and another art studio here in town have a monthly art contest of various themes. This month's theme was a Wack to Mack contest. Where we would take some cheesy cartoon theme from the 80's or 90's and redesign it to look alot cooler. Anyways, I decided to do an updated version of Rainbow Brite. Hope you guys enjoy!

Sorry Folks!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, kinda busy with Thanksgiving and all and the inlaws in town but I will be posting soon. I'm in the process of working on a piece for a friendly monthly competition against another gaming art studio in town. So I have actually been putting some time and effort on something for once, instead of the real quick stuff I've been doing. Deadline for this I think is December 2, but I actually think I am a day or two from completing. So as soon as this is finished or close to finish I will post soon. So until then, enjoy your leftover turkey!

Just In Case you haven't figured I am a Hellboy Fan

Here's another version of Hellboy that I roughed out 100% on the computer using Alias Sketchbook Pro. Kinda gives me a natural sketchbook feel than some other programs. Though I may give it a clean run through in Illustrator later. But for now, another post.

Scientology and Neopets: Path of Destruction

Here's a couple diddy's I did for Neopets a couple years back when I was living in L.A. Basically, in the application process I had to design two cards from some scenarios they gave me to choose from. Two Scientologist "Personality Test" and 3 interviews later and meeting the CEO of Neopets, I didn't get the job. And they got free artwork. I'm kinda glad, I didn't get the job there. First of all they probably only hired people that were easily sucked into Scientology. Not that I object to anybody's beliefs, but its just plain creepy and its kinda weird for this corporation to be tied into this "Cult" A Cult that makes millions of dollars, making these toys, cards, books, magazines, for you to buy for your children. The poor innocent children that are subconsciencely getting sucked into the grips of Scientology as it slowly drains your wallet supporting the cause. Second, they were only offering $500 a week before taxes, And with cost of living in L.A. so high, I would of been better off delivering pizzas. (No offense to Pizza Guys, I was once one myself for a few years!)

Mommy, I want Neopets for Christmas!

I found this pic while rummaging through my computer. This was my little home office work station (aka Dining room) when we lived in L.A. Kinda miss having all my toys out and about. Its pretty cool to have stuff like this around when you're drawing for some inspiration. But alas, since our move to Las Vegas a year ago, most of this stuff is either packed up in a box collecting dust or in my cube at work. Hopefully when we get into our new house, I can unload this stuff into my own office, but I have a feeling I'm gonna be busy with the baby's room and buying baby toys.

Hey Fishee-Fishee!!!

This doodle could use a little more texturing but I thought I'd drop something in color for a change.

I Don't get People Sometimes!

I Friggin don't get people sometimes. Just because sometimes I am not as frequent a poster as some, does that make me any less of an artist than others. I put peoples links on my personal blog out of common courtesy for putting my link on their blog. In some way as artists can unite and be connected and be inspired by each other., And then turnaround and they remove you because you are not as blog worthy to be on their list because lack of the daily updates. I'm sorry I don't frigging update on the daily but thats my friggin life. I am a pretty busy person and I'm sorry I cannot entertain the masses by posting all the time. So in turn, and me being a good Christian boy, I'll leave your links on my blog even without the complementary reach around. Also on that note, I dont care if your art is the poo, If someone says something nice about your artwork or drop you an email showing you some sort of gratitude for being so good, please people write back or respond with some sort of thank you. You dont have to be a dick just because you think your shiz smells like roses. Drop the egos A-Holes. Your only as good as your next drawing.

Happy One Year Anniversary!

Congratulate me and Rachel for a happy and blissful marriage of One year. One year ago today, we were married at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was suppose to be an outside garden wedding but unfortunately thanks to an uncommon heavy downfall in the middle of the desert we had it inside the Flamingo chapel. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck and so far its been a great first year.

Wow! Two Posts in One Day!

That may be a record folks, actually having two posts in one day. You've out done yourself ol' boy. Reward yourself with some cake. Yum! By the way this is the tragic Greek Mythological character Daedalus.

Rocket Man

Not a very clever name, but obvious.
